How Ali Lavoro uses AI to bring every candidate closer to the right job

The right job starts with genuine knowledge of the local area
In an increasingly fragmented job market, finding the right job for someone is not a question of volume: it is a question of knowledge. Ali Lavoro and its affiliated companies serve local areas through a network of branches and consultants specialising in temporary staffing, recruitment and selection, apprenticeships, staff leasing, and active labour market policies.
This expertise is built on relationships with local businesses, listening to the real needs of jobseekers, and the ability to connect both sides in the right way. No technology can replace this know-how. It can, however, extend its reach, and that is exactly the direction chosen: bringing artificial intelligence into the method, rather than replacing the method.
The challenge: seeing all hiring demand, not just what is already known
Every consultant knows the local companies they have worked with for years very well. The limitation is not expertise, but visibility:
- • identifying companies that are hiring but are not yet on their radar;
- • spotting new vacancies in time, before they are filled elsewhere;
- • covering large geographical areas without multiplying the time spent searching;
- • maintaining a shared view among colleagues covering the same area.
The consequence directly affects people: every vacancy that remains unseen is one fewer option to offer a candidate looking for the right role.
Artificial intelligence working alongside the consultant
With Vocations, Ali Lavoro has introduced an AI layer into its processes that works behind the scenes, without changing how its branches work:
- • mapping local companies by sector;
- • continuously monitoring new vacancies in the area they cover;
- • saved filters that flag only what is new compared with what is already being tracked;
- • a shared view among colleagues, avoiding duplicate searches and overlapping efforts.
The platform has been rolled out to 75 branches and 70 consultants since 2026. The result is not an automated process replacing people: it is a consultant who comes prepared, knowing which companies are hiring, for which roles, and in which area.
More visible opportunities, more of the right jobs for jobseekers
Expanding the map of open positions means one thing for jobseekers: more chances to find a role that matches their skills, close to home, at a company that is genuinely hiring right now.
This is how Ali Lavoro has chosen to use artificial intelligence. Not as a technology showcase, but as a tool that increases the possible matches between a person and an opportunity: more information for the consultant, more options for the candidate, and more time to devote to people who are genuinely looking for work.
Impact
- Over 2,000 positions mapped across local areas every month
- More than 700 opportunity development activities accelerated every month thanks to company mapping
- A network of branches aligned around a single, up-to-date map of local hiring demand
